1979 Lola T298 BMW Chassis HU-102

Presenting the Four times FIA European Hill Climb Championship winning Lola T298 for sale. HU-102 was originally delivered to McCarthy/Weeuil and subsequently sold on to Andres Vilarino. Vilarino won 4 consecutive FIA European Hill Climb Championships from   1989 through to 1992 in conjunction with Repsol sponsorship. The car was acquired by the current owner in 1994 and went on to win 6 Canarian Hill Climb Championships with full corporate tobacco sponsorship.

The engine currently installed is a BMW S14 2.5cc unit prepared by Armaroli Motor Sport of Bologna. Converting to a M12 unit is a straight forward process. The transaxle is the original Hewland FGA 429 (400). The original chassis plate, homologation form and Lola documents are present.

This sale represents an opportunity to acquire one of the sixteen genuine Lola T298’s manufactured with a Championship winning pedigree. A comprehensive spares pack is included in the sale.
